Once Again

I almost walked away from God.
I'd had had enough, of fighting with myself,
With my feelings, of not wanting to let go
Of my past. I thought If I could keep my old life
As well as my new life with God, it would be okay,
It would work. It did not. It has been a battle
For me to stay focused to take the right path.
There is no easy way, as I thought.
He challenged me, I came back.
My heart is once again filled with his love.
