Birth of Unbelief
With anguished hearts,
Breathing fast;
Minds taunted,
Quarrels, harsh words,
Depressed stomach,
Impatient tongues,
Bitterness, hate,
Abandonment;
A child cries...
The strength is dead--
"And so Love ends."
Breathing fast;
Minds taunted,
Quarrels, harsh words,
Depressed stomach,
Impatient tongues,
Bitterness, hate,
Abandonment;
A child cries...
The strength is dead--
"And so Love ends."

I have the privilege of posting Carol's sonnets as she emails them to me, but the title field is usually left to my discretion. I hope you don't mind the title I ascribed to this one, Carol; it made me think of what makes people shun their natural belief in Love. It breaks my heart, and it should be a call to those of us who have been restored to pray for healing to come into these broken lives as well.
I was going to ask you not to put this one up, but you beat me to it...the title is apt ..the sonnet, just sad..lives hurt, so many unnecessary tears..so much pain..
Sorry! You didn't tell me in time! I could delete it, but hasn't everyone felt this, either for themselves or for someone else? I'm absolutely certain it's so. I noted and appreciated the transparency of it--unless, of course, you DO want me to delete it! : )
Cami,
no don't delete it...there was a reason for writing it and there was a reason you posted it..so it's good
